The images presented in the Gallery define the synergy of art and architecture. The patented design of the MartinBauer Tournament Table incorporates what is defined as “the floating slate” concept. This is where the slate appears to “float” above the steel frame, and similarly, the side rails appear to “float” above the slate. As the images scroll, notice the sightlines created between the rails and slate. This half-inch gap emphasizes the sense of separation of the various heavy components, and creates a perceived light and airy appearance in contrast to the steel and stone.
